Eve Leibe Gallery presents Descent into the Underworld a Nicolette Clara Iles solo photographic show exploring the impact of living with mental illness. The London-based photographer Nicolette Clara devoted her research entirely to exploring mental health through photography. The artist states "As many have said throughout time, stories are medicine, a healer for the soul. Through story, we see ourselves and others".

Nicolette Clara Iles is a photographic artist who uses the analogue medium to portray storytelling informed by folklore, the occult, among the ancient forms of telling tales through image-making. Inspired by the Underworld, illness (both personal & collective), Iles uses colour, form and texture to turn subjects into that of myth.
